Tools for Building Cross Metro Projects
Summary: Building libraries and apps that target (and share code for) both Win 8 Metro and Windows Phone can be a difficult task. Jay Kimble brings us some first steps for doing this while building a library for accessing a user's Dropbox (which uses an oAuth/REST style web services).
In windows 8, he will show us:
-- the new Async with emphasis on developing with it (and less on the theory behind it)
-- how to access oAuth backed services using the Windows 8 Metro WebAuthenticationBroker
-- the things built into Windows 8 Metro templates that give us some things for free

Then in Windows Phone, Jay will show us:
-- Getting a working Windows Phone dev environment in Windows 8
-- Async for Windows Phone (and how to get it up and running on your Windows Phone projects)
-- a WebAuthenticationBroker for Windows Phone which simplifies the oAuth login process
-- how to deal with the places where things just aren't the same
-- how to re-use the freebies that are in the Win8 Metro Templates
